In multiple countries, an item of confectionery such as a chocolate or a mint is sometimes left on top of a pillow in the bed that has been turned down.

    Ok, on cruises they don’t turn down the bed, but they do make up the bed & leave a little creature made out of one of your towels. Cute! I take pictures of them.
