That “wheel of gratuity” has gotten out of hand. One should expect a level of service commensurate with the size of the bill.. for free. Dropping ~$60 for a steak sandwich.. should get it delivered hot and with a smile. Being shamed to throw an extra $12.00 on the plate just seems wrong.
