I noted that the some Victims Families are incensed at this. Emotionally, rightly so. Practically- not so much. Revenge is never pretty and rarely effective. Humans have been killing and getting killed for doing so for – Oh let’s say 100,000 years – give or take. Still do it. It costs a huge amount of money, time and effort to enforce the death penalty. A little thought as to what a lifetime spent in jail is all about might change some minds. For the most egregious offenders, solitary for life-
