When I was younger, Joe Namath shocked the world with his $427,000 salary. Since then, the number of mega rich athletes and actor/actresses/singers has risen to ridiculous highs. It was only a matter of time before the whole thing imploded because of too many pay for admission parents and not enough regular smart kids for them to cheat off of.
All college and universities admissions should be merit based. Thems that puts in the work, gets the seats. Money should not be the primary consideration.
