Alan Moore, in his youth, got busted for LSD possession. He thought he should get a lighter sentence for not going through with his earlier idea to put it in the water supply. Had I been the judge, I’d up the sentence.
Just about every criminal I ever met had a rationalization. Most often heard is “I did those others”; ones he wasn’t convicted for, “but I didn’t do this one”, that being the one he was convicted for. Yeah, right….
