Martha McSally has an impressive military record of breaking barriers that must be applauded. But her extreme positions on many issues and embrace of Trump are disqualifying.
Mark Kelly has a far more impressive record of military and space achievement, MODERATE policy provisions (his primary opponent will be from the left), greater experience in public policy administration, and a heart felt story of what his family (he is the husband of former Arizona congresswoman Gabby Giffords) has suffered from lack of common sense firearm oversight (he is not trying to take away guns from anyone who is not a terrorist, convicted violent felon, spouse abuser or those who are so mentally unstable that they have to have their Social Security Disability checks managed by a conservator) — he and his wife are both gun owners.
Kelly vs McSally? That is going to be a smashing wipe-out. McSally’s greatest nightmare.
I generally drop a Link over at ArcaMinimal to the fully chroma’d version over here.If I’m to be lambasted about this, then eff it, I don’t need the aggravation.
I’ve seen Mark Kelly doing several interviews with TV reporters – some with his wife present, some without. He strikes me as an articulate and intelligent individual who thoroughly considers an issue, comes to a solidly defensible position on it, and then works to make it happen irrespective of scoring political points with a specific group of voters. I’d prefer him for office even if I disagreed with some of his positions simply because he seems inclined to consider opposing points of view and re-evaluate his position if those points have merit.
McSally did and does advocate for the A-10 Warthog. She is also, alas, dedicated to being a loyal member of the Trump Party. She made a giant lurch away from being a decent legislator the moment she read the 2016 tea leaves.
Sinema is also an A-10 advocate and, so far, still showing ability to get beyond partisanship and careerism and work for her state and nation.

My money is on Mark.

For me support for Mark Kelly is also support for Gabby Giffords. (Gabby should now be in the Senate and a frontrunner for President.)

What’s the point here? Vote for the bigger vehicle? This makes no sense at all.

This is a great ’toon Steve ♥ hope the GOP spends a gazillion dollars and watches as Kelly walks away with the prize!
