And now Rafael Ooze has had the delusional idea that HIS money can be used to built the Magical, Mythical trump memorial Wall…or barricade, or slats, or fence, or beaded curtain, or gauze drapes, or shower curtain…or whatever it is THIS minute….

As soon as any commodity is criminalized, before the ink is dry on the law, a black market springs up to supply the now forbidden commodity. Prohibition clearly demonstrated this principle and created not only more crime, but organized crime. Thugs like El Chapo are a symptom, not the disease itself. While I certainly do not advocate the legalization of all drugs, narcotics, activities or the like, I do suggest we take a better look at the cause-and-effect of the matter in finding ways to combat their deleterious results.

And as people studying the effects of the drug trade and investigating cartels will tell you when asked what has changed, not one damn thing.

One year ago today, the name of what must have been a wonderful woman (to have had a high school named after her) became irrevocably linked in the public mind with horror. Of course, that linguistic injustice is far down the list of tragedies on that awful day, but I for one would like to say a kind word for Marjorie Stoneman Douglas, the human being.

The real crime in my view is the fact if drugs were not criminalize the would be just another commodity. If it is true that El Chapo has 14 billion hidden away someplace you can be sure many more are hidden away in noble Americans bank accounts.
