I’m getting an impression from the ‘toon and some of the R commenters that if it had just been a picture of him in blackface or a Klan outfit- let’s pretend for a moment that interview didn’t happen – the Rs would say “Whatever, we don’t care.” Is that true?
The intellectual dishonesty of Lester is almost unparalleled, although the posts supporting him come close (but that is probably through massive ignorance).
Exactly right, Lester. Our society is being pushed to obsess over Confederate statues or who’s entitled to wear dreads — while we lose sight of our basic human values and abandon common sense.
Mr. Lester seems to be listening to Trump again. Two things: one, Democrats will purge Northam for his Republican based racial ideology. Two, Lester is attaching Trump’s, and by that, his own perception of what Northam’s opinion on House Bill 2491 entails. Lester is attempting to pump meaning and validation into a now invalid Governor. You can do better than that, Mr. Lester.
Neither the NY or VA bills authorized infanticide. On the VA bill, Northam and Tran (sponsor) made statements that were misleading and the RW and Repubs twisted them further. If you have to lie, then you don’t really have a point.
Roughly 50% of fertilized eggs never attach to the uterus and die. Many other developming fetus die before birth from defects, etc, and it’s called miscarriage. So is “god” the number one abortionist committing infanticide?

Typical, even when they’ve got a Dem by the short hairs, the Right can’t resist pouncing on the next ideological ball of yarn to roll by.

Am I the only one who finds it disturbing that doing a stupid thing thirty years ago means you must resign your elected position now?
