    Morning, Village!

On this day in history, March 26, 1836, General Jose de Urrea received his orders from General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. In spite of Urrea’s entreaties for leniency toward the prisoners, Santa Anna replies that Mexican law dictates that revolutionaries are to be treated as pirates and the punishment is execution. The reason the law existed is because Santa Anna himself pushed it across the Mexican Congress the previous December.

    Good Cloudy morning, Vagabonds,

Warm weather will take a break until Friday. It was 33 this morning, which is no big deal. But, with the rain/snow the next two days, who knows what treats are in store!

Jack rested for two days, so now today he figures he can move some more logs into the garage to split as needed. This batch is only about 6 inches in diameter, so he really won’t need to split too many.

Nothing much going on up here. Just getting my fill of baby Jack whenever I can.

    Hay ya, Vagabonds

The sun, he’s a shining but, it going to be chilly, 34 degrees at best. Tomorrow’s high is predicted to be in the 50s. (yeah)

Just after I started this I left for Orleans to pay a bill, Just can’t get away from ‘em, and I payed attention to our roads. It wont be long before they start braking up and Vermont’s imfamus Mud Season begins.

Have a wonerful day everybody and may God bless.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

We visited the mobile home park yesterday, and found that the monthly fee to park a manufactured home there is $800! And that’s in addition to any mortgage we might have on the unit itself. So much for our dream of a brand new unit. The two best kept 55+ communities here are both that high in monthly fees (with an increase of 8% possible annually). So now we are looking at more conventional houses.

We were told in Pahrump that we could purchase a 1/2 acre lot and they would put the home on that lot. Only two problems with that: 1. I don’t want to live in Pahrump – 50 miles away from everyone I know. 2. There are no lots of that nature available in the Vegas Valley, at least not for a price we can afford.

Off to prayer group this morning. I have been praying that we would stay in the Lord’s will about this house hunt. He’s slammed one door shut pretty firmly, so we’ll keep on praying.

It’s supposed to get up to nearly 80 today. It’s almost shorts weather!

    Everyone have a blessed day.
