We visited the mobile home park yesterday, and found that the monthly fee to park a manufactured home there is $800! And that’s in addition to any mortgage we might have on the unit itself. So much for our dream of a brand new unit. The two best kept 55+ communities here are both that high in monthly fees (with an increase of 8% possible annually). So now we are looking at more conventional houses.
We were told in Pahrump that we could purchase a 1/2 acre lot and they would put the home on that lot. Only two problems with that: 1. I don’t want to live in Pahrump – 50 miles away from everyone I know. 2. There are no lots of that nature available in the Vegas Valley, at least not for a price we can afford.
Off to prayer group this morning. I have been praying that we would stay in the Lord’s will about this house hunt. He’s slammed one door shut pretty firmly, so we’ll keep on praying.
It’s supposed to get up to nearly 80 today. It’s almost shorts weather!
