A nation divided… very sad. Also in the UK. But it could be even worse. In Russia or Turkey, an autocratic regime ensures that the same half is in the lead and bullying or even terrorizing the other. Elections are manipulated, the press censored, critics are put into jail, opposition meetings and demonstrations are violently closed by the police. I do not doubt that the big T would also like to do so. So far, the system of checks and balances still holds and prevents the worst.
Even Republicans, politicians, ranchers, and landowners, along the border among others, know a “wall” is stupid. Manpower and newer technlogy without seizing lands with eminent domain, and using electronics that do NOT interfere with wildlife movements, are thousands of times more effective. That should be Bondspurs and a few idiots on one side of the wall
In this case, that would be Democrats. We want the best for everybody, including the best jobs, the best education, the best health care, the best Liberty, the best Justice, the best border security against drug smugglers coming through regular entry points…I just feel sorry for those who refuse all that because somebody else might get some.
There is bipartisan agreement on money for border SECURITY. Trump insists it has to be a WALL. Border security money can be used for walls (currently using border security funds to re-build and improve wall section outside of Yuma) but if you say the money has to be specifically for a wall, then you are tying the hands of experts that have better and less expensive solutions.
A dog just found the largest shipment of fentanyl ever; 250 lbs. plus 395 lbs. of meth. This was found in a cucumber shipment at a port of entry.
