Kelly is a perfect Trump surrogate: his lies are both unbelievable and constant.

I’m moderate right and I’m all for it, one less kid I have to support cradle to grave. May sound cold, but that’s how it seems to be.

Critic the law once you know what it actually says.

Have you noticed all the commenters on VLTA are men who most probably haven’t even read through any of the proposals?

like the right cares about children. dge714 ‘s comment may be cold but at least its more consistent with the thinking on the right. We’re supposed to believe the party of war… of police brutality… of locking kids in cages at the border… of shoot first ask questions later … of Nazi’s are fine people… we’re suppose believe all of a sudden they care about anybody else but themselves? FOH! What happened to “Don’t Tread on Me”? What happened to smaller gov… less regulations… all that other stuff. Just not for women huh?

But besides that… once again Kelley is spreading misleading information.

At least under this law they HAVE a choice, not the BS you republicans spout.

The amount of dishonesty in the current “debate” is remarkable. The much denounced New York law did not change the period during which abortion was legal, but changed the prohibition from a general criminal statute (under which the woman could be prosecuted) to a health regulation (under which only the doctor could be punished). Similarly, the main change in the voted-down Virginia bill changed the requirement that late-term abortions be approved by a three-doctor panel to a single physician, leaving in place the requirement that if the fetus showed any sign of viability, it had to be treated as a live birth.

There’s a really nasty streak of misogyny running through Kelley’s cartoons lately,

The problem I had with the bill is that it allowed for the abortion of what is a healthy, about-to-be-born baby due to concerns for the “mom’s” life or physical or mental health. Ok, if the woman’s life is truly in peril and an abortion would actually change that, then I understand. But if the determination to abort can be made based on physical or mental health consequences, that seems too loose and subjective to me. It looks like an opportunity to kill a child for a less consequential outcome. An anxiety attack during labor? Birth complications may make me unable to go back to my job as a ballet dancer?

Ever notice that those who hate government interference in their lives, are the first ones to insist the government interferes in someone else’s life?

The left wants women to have a choice, the right wants to take choice away.

Medical practitioners have been doing late term abortions for many years. This is reserved for those rare times when the physical life of the mother is at stake. To my understanding, the NY law adds a psychological element to the definition of “life of the mother.”

What a stupid comic. Pregnant women can’t simply “decide” to have an abortion “until birth”. Only under extreme circumstances will that be an option, and 99.999% of women won’t experience those extreme circumstances.

As such, 99.999% of women will not be able to “decide” to have a late term abortion. The option simply won’t be there for them.
