Luckily, only Democrats ever have to be held accountable.

TrumpubliCONs, with Trump himself at the top, rape, grope and “grab ’em by the p*ssy,” but fooling around on a TV set forces Al Franken to resign and Steve King THIS YEAR longs for the days when “white supremacy” was socially acceptable, but Ralph Northam is pressured to resign over an obvious humor attempt, not a serious statement, from 34 years ago. No, the humor was not acceptable. It was racist and disgusting and by 1984 should have been obvious. No justification for it.

But the double standard is the issue. Franken was right to resign. Northam should resign. But Franken should have made his resignation effective at noon the day after Trump leaves office. And Northam should make his resignation effective at noon the day after Steve King leaves office.

Trump calls for the execution of 5 innocent black men in the Central Park case and we hear crickets from the GOP…

If I were in Governor Northam’s shoes, I would promise to submit my resignation effective one day after Trump is no longer President. I would repeat that offer on a weekly basis to remind people of both my 35 year-old racist act and of Trump’s past and ongoing racist acts and statements. We need to keep the conversation of racial discrimination going until it no longer exists.

… that was my initial thought before Northam came out with his trumpian denial of his previous admission. Now I see no way of remaining in office with any purpose. He needs to resign now, regardless of what Orange Psychopath does.

A blackface person and kkk person sharing a drink at a party could be interpreted as the ultimate symbol of polar opposites getting along. And, if the image is so offensive, why is it all over the news and not censored like certain words.I am a liberal but I don’t think anyone should be punished for historical actions by today’s standards unless it was illegal at the time.

So, where IS the moral outrage from the Conservative Right over the confessed Incest-loving Pervert, the groper of under-age girls, and the 4 times Married Serial Adulterer? Oh, that’s right…IOKIARDI.

Did anyone else think Northam included a little tell when he said you have to go light on the shoe polish because it’s so hard to get off? I never knew that… His is the voice if experience. Just saying.

Despite the arrant hypocrisy from the Republicans, I still want Northam to resign. Justin Fairfax will replace him; a black man with decidedly progressive policies.

I think it’s hilarious that right-wing exposure of this crap could result in someone becoming governor that the right-wingers would really hate.

Ralph Northam impresses me as the democratic version of Brett Kavanaugh. A privileged child of the mid-atlantic. He sort of admits his past mis-dos, Bret is in denial. In any case, Ralph is toast.

Michael Jackson becomes famous.. in part because he went “white face”. I don’t understand why going “black face” should incur the wrath of society. Is imitation not a sign of.. admiration? Elvis Presley impersonators have been doing it for years. You get all kinds of folk wearing red baseball caps to support trump. Pink toques to support.. not sure what.. but there were lots of them. Heck.. any number of politicians including the trump will stand by the KKK.. a known terrorist group. Me thinks.. this is yet another case of being “politically correct” gone overboard. It.. is history.. you can learn from it but never erase it.

We expect christian conservatives to be racist. This is horrifyingly unexpected.
