You know the cartoonists are getting a little cheesy when you notice that the face in the one frame is exactly the same in every detail as the face in the other frame, except larger.
Thanks for the defense, Eldo Disc Golf. Actually, it’s not lazy so much as necessity in this case. Since I’m using vintage art instead of drawing it myself, I have to depend on what’s already been drawn.
In this case, the older woman’s face in the second panel was not drawn well and the expression seemed inappropriate. So I thought it better to copy her face from the first panel.
This was actually more work than just leaving it as it was.
