At our local Tractor Supply, they feed the deer. They put out corn for them every night and they have 18 deer come up every night. They pretty much ignore the shoppers because no one ever tries to harm them.
When that happens when your driving down a back road, your heart stops for a moment. I had a dear jump off the high side of a cut in the hillside and land on the shoulder across the road about 20 feet in front of my car.
In the early Spring and late Fall, I love to watch the deer pass by in my backyard. The graze, eat a few berries from various bushes, sometimes the young ones begin to play and the mommas lay down for a rest. I have only seen a buck once. He was ginormous compared to the females. I love God’s creation. I hate it when I see baby deer dead on the highways.
