I can completely sympathize with the death and the ongoing emotional roller coaster, but it is good to also remember the joys, not just the pain of the loss. You gave Lucy a wonderful life, rejoice at that. As a Buddhist, she will take a good human rebirth for sure by the inspiration you gave her. :-) That is why it is good to give love to our pets, they know we care.

One of my cats that I lost last year used to play with the plastic caps from water bottles and I’m still finding them.
