Back in the late ‘80s, my roommate had a white, medium-size dog, and I had a beautiful orange and white cat. We worked a lot of overtime for a few months, and didn’t do much housework. Then, the inevitable layoff came, so we decided it was time to do a major clean-up.
The carpeting literally changed color when we vacuumed it. I had forgotten that it was dark brown! I liked the light tan better, to be honest, but we didn’t stay there long enough for it to change back.
Yes, I am a terrible housekeeper – but poor Gin and my adorable Amber hated the vacuum!
We saved up and got a nice big couch from La Z Boy. Turns out that particular fabric is a super-effective cat hair magnet. Now our beautiful couch is covered by old fleece blankets. Well at least the fabric will stay looking new longer…
