No one credible ever said life was fair.

Wasn’t Marigold already an oddball in Phoebe’s eyes?

Ignore them, Marigold. How you look in your own eyes is most important.

Uh oh. Is this the beginning… of the END of Phoebe and Marigold’s friendship?

Ferny evokes the funny, troubling questions.

Marigold has, in a non-joking, matter-of-fact way, referred to Phoebe as a princess on more than one occasion. Also:

This might be a good moment for Al (Alabaster Goldenwithers-Jones, an adult unicorn whom Ferny closely resembles—Marigold, Phoebe, and Max found him living in a wooded park in the area; Marigold first detected him as a “crabby” magical signature in the vicinity) to show up, as his mere presence would help defuse the situation. Al may even be a relative of Ferny’s (and thus also of Marigold’s, “several times removed”), and he is definitely—in unicorn society—an oddball, preferring living in our world rather than in the unicorn lands, enjoying “roughing it” instead of living a pampered unicorn life, etc.

Well, it’s nice to know that even Unicorns have difficult family reunions.

Once again Unicorns show to have a lot of prejudice.
