a scary thought

I was taught that the three stages of a boy’s attitude towards his dad are as follows:

“My daddy can beat your daddy!”

“Aw, dad! You don’t know anything!"

“My father used to say…”

“And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon Little boy blue and the man in the moon”

“When you coming home, Dad, I don’t know when, but, we’ll get together then, son, we’ll get together then.”

Just call me “Papa ATM”…sigh

My brothers and I used to call our dad “the Bank of Evan”.

I miss my dad. (He passed away in 1994, the year of the Northridge Earthquake and the OJ Car Chase).

my dad is embarrassing me these days.
