Hubby’s brother lived in California, back when long distance rates depended upon what time you made the call. He used to wait until the rates went down at 11pm, and call us in Maryland. We did two things – got up early and called him before the rates went up here, and took the phone out of the bedroom. His wife was NOT amused to have the phone ring, and we figured there was nothing we could do for you at 2AM. I’m not going to throw on my clothes and hop in the car at that hour. I’ll talk to you in the morning, thank you. (We did put it back when our daughter was in the latter stages of her pregnancy.)
