They probably walked to the Club, I would think. THey walk everywhere with him. Most likely, they’ve already chatted with most of the people before they started playing. It could be a local Legion facility, too.
They had a nice family walk first so Fred had fresh air and time with his folks. Now they’ve gone inside to get warm and socialize. If they’d taken Fred home, he’d be sleeping by the door.
