Somehow I remembered both but not in ’91. In fact, I doubt I could say what the top ten songs were anytime after 1970. Most of them get very little airplay now and those that do probably were never in the top ten.
Knute I knew them all too, but I also got good grades. My allowance each week went for 45s so I played them, wrote the lyrics to them down and put them and the 45 together. One of my favs was Johnny’s Girl…..I drove my father nuts with that record….then came it’s follow up….It’s Judy’s Turn to Cry….we dad bought ear plugs before he went ballistic.
