    I’m with you, nobody gets to know who lives next door any more, sad you need to take the time, you could make a new friend, but who needs that?

    What’s funny about this is that, at the start of the power outage, their positions were almost totally reversed, and she was the one who was all “how can we survive without power?!”

    So, you know…my sympathy only goes so far, Abbs.

    In all fairness, though, she still does raise a good point. Neighborhoods don’t hang out and socialize together like they once did, and you do have to wonder sometimes if we’ve lost out on something in so doing.
