There’s no reason a third grader should have that much homework. After 40+ years I have gone back to school. There is quite a bit of homework but that is college. At least you should be interested in the subjects.
I didn’t see heavy homework loads until high school, near the end of the year when all the teachers realized how far behind they were at the same time. Each teacher started pouring on the homework to catch up, and none of them cared that our other teachers were doing the same thing.
