I get the sense this may have been based on personal experience. My first jury duty went well until deliberations, when an older woman declared that she could never find the defendant guilty because he reminded her of her grandson – who was serving his own sentence!
Well, we’ll see about that. Unlike Len, I’d want to hear both sides before coming to conclusions.
That said, it really wouldn’t surprise me that much if the little old lady is in fact innocent, if only because I’ve heard of plenty of real life instances where that was the case.

A woman and her landlord eh? I’ve had enough bad experiences with landlords that I’d immediately side with the woman too!
