    This is NOT THE FIRST NANCY COMIC! as a longtime fan owning collectors books, the strip goes back to 1929, Nancy was introduced in 1936, and renamed to “Nancy” in 1939 due to the little girls popularity.

    Actually Nancy was first introduced in 1933 in the Fritzi Ritz comic strip. Fritzi Ritz was first published in 1922, and in 1938 Nancy got her own comic strip.
