I find it amazing that ANYONE can even say this with a straight face anymore, let alone spout the absolute drivel (as some GOP people and FoxNews bots do) that somehow scientists are getting rich off it, which just shows they know no scientists whatsoever.
Let alone the fact that research grants are NEVER paid out to the scientists, but only to get the work done (and are closely documented to ensure that that is the case), we have several known climate deniers, like Wei-Hock Soon, who were discovered to be dishonestly taking money from the oil industry to deny the facts.
Of course, a lot of the proud scientific illiterates in the GOP these days would have no way of testing the facts anyway, given their enormous distance from anyone with a decent college education. Or, apparently, a sixth-grade education, since the science of global warming is really that simple in basic principle.
