One state, two votes. One person, well it varies.

    Trumps lying selfserving treacherous Presidency.

But between 30% & 42% of our population consider those characteristics of a strong person. Those who agree with the likes of Ayn Rand.

“As an ideology, it construes profit-making as the essence of democracy, consuming as the only operable form of citizenship, and an irrational belief in the market to solve all problems and serve as a model for structuring all social relations.” Henry Giroux

The best part of an opposing 2 party system is that you don’t have to spend time figuring out who to blame when your policies don’t please anyone besides your base. Collaborating and compromising are so US Constitutionally quaint!

I used to much prefer a divided election result: By the time the two sides had worked out a compromise, there was a decent chance that the bill would be workable and sane.

I sure wish “the two sides working out a compromise” still sounded realistic.

We’re going to need a bunch of genies, not a bone, to have enough wishes fulfilled in 2020 to get a Senate and White House as well.
