I never developed a taste for the “hard stuff”. My favorite food group was Canadian Labatt’s Blue Ribbon beer. I’d occasionally make a run “south of the border” to Canada to get it at the source. Yes, I do mean south. I live in Detroit and it is the only place in the US where Canada is actually south of the US. Look at a map and see. When I look south from my home, I can see the Windsor (Ontario) Casino across the Detroit River. I stopped drinking alcohol years ago and now stick with NA beers. Not as good as the Labatt’s, but I don’t wake up tired and never worry about DUI arrests.

My kids are drinking Old Fashioned’s now – seems to have come back into favor… I prefer a good Rye…
