California is getting dryer as things change and in this way worse with less rain and much hotter temperatures.Those blue gum trees planted at the turn of the century were a mistake. They come from Australia and some enterprising person thought they would make them money by transplanting them here in California. They get brittle and can grow 150 ft. They also are perfect as places for fire to flare up. Too many to get grid of though the process is on going. Too little money, too few people—-not enough time.

What can you say? Blessings on those who are suffering and hope for a quick quenching of the flames. This is sad and horrible.

My ‘adopted’ granddaughter got out of the way just in time. Now she’s volunteering with relief efforts.
