A.O. Hirschman’s book on creating economic societies summarized how he went down to central America and organized several democracies so that WE could get clean title to the Panama Canal. Those cookie cutter democracies were totally misunderstood by those propped up leaders and now we are reaping those rewards. The latest book on John Qunicy Adams relates that Adams did not believe Latin America was ready for a democracy. He was right in the sense that they did not need a US style democracy. Spain’s Monarchy/democracy; like England’s seem to be doing ok. We bit off a bit more than we could chew and now Trump regurgitates the principles of fairness we were founded on.

Donald John Trump has had TWO YEARS to bulk up the Southern Border in a logical and cost-effective way and yet what he’s telling his supporters is that all he’s been doing is sitting on his ass and doing NOTHING and without a massive influx of federal troops, there’s no stopping the “ravening hoard” of Hispanic terrorists from pouring across our porous borders! Of course, Donnie has spent most of his time either playing golf or postering in front of a hall of total credulous supporters. But, of course, his supporters can’t SEE that.
Donnie hasn’t accomplished a darn thing outside of packing the courts with conservative toadies and making America the laughing stock of the world, but his supporters “like” him because he’s “one of them”. And I fear they’re absolutely correct. Donald John Trump is just a piece of “White Trash”, in my opinion, and I’m probably giving white trash a bad name by saying that!
