I’ve seen people blissfully driving down the street with the car trailing sparks from something dragging underneath lots of times.
The last time was just one month ago, on the Interstate.
I usually look for an opportunity to Pass just in case it finally breaks all the way off and comes flying out. I almost got hit with an entire exhaust system once and I’d rather not have to dodge another.
I once pulled a lady over because she had run over a box and the friction of the interstate pavement had caused the box to catch fire. Was able to get her to back-up off the box and put the fire out! That was one surprised lady!
