Must have been a trend that has since ended after this strip originally ran…I had the misfortune of working telemarketing (well, not marketing, technically, but basically the same) and got to listen to a lot of different answering machines all across the US during my not-brief-enough time there—very few of them featured the phone owner’s kids in the message.

Must have been a trend that has since ended after this strip originally ran…I had the misfortune of working telemarketing (well, not marketing, technically, but basically the same) and got to listen to a lot of different answering machines all across the US during my not-brief-enough time there—very few of them featured the phone owner’s kids in the message.
In fact, most are often automated these days.
