Again, comic strips have always involved politics. What’s regarded as the very first one, “Hogan’s Alley” with the Yellow Kid, was a commentary on slums and immigrants.
Funnies – my Dad used that word! Anyway, I totally agree and that is the reason I was reading the “funnies,” too. Now politics have bleed over into the strips and especially the comments (I’m guilty, too) and I quit reading some strips and have taken a break from comments (present posting excluded).

We are bombarded with politics now. As far as I can determine from the TV ads, everyone running for office is a lying SOB.
