This ignores the fact that a 15-year-old girl would have been terrified about talking about a party with drinking among other things, to her parents. For those who say the rape allegation was all about politics, where were the rape or attempted rape allegations for all those other conservative nominees, Gorsuch, Alito and others? Another thing to consider is that when Democrats take the Senate, they could impeach Kavanaugh. Abe Fortas, a Supreme Court justice under LBJ, resigned under threat of impeachment, so this could happen.
Another interesting reference was made in Kavanaugh’s yearbook to a “Devil’s triangle,” slang for a sexual act involving a threesome between 2 men and 1 woman, in the yearbook, there were boasts of accomplishing this. In the attempted rape allegation, there were 2 males and 1 female involved.
It has also been noted online that Kavanaugh only chooses female clerks who have model good looks and that he is looking for a “certain type,” according to Yale Law professor Amy Chua. Are we seeing a pattern here?
Jim, just because everyone in the public hasn’t seen the yearbook references, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. There are many things involved in a legal case which will not be shown to the public. I have heard some legal experts suggest on MSNBC and CNN that they didn’t think that Kavanaugh will want to go forward, due to some damaging evidence which some have seen. As to the female law clerk preferences, Amy Chua has been published as having said this and has written to female clerks that they should dress in a certain way because it is what Kavanaugh prefers.
