Wow, Nate’s dad is really dumb

Nate’s Dad really does seem to have a serious problem with just simply handing out candy. Nobody would be trying to avoid that option unless they have a problem with said option.

Mr. Wright, you’re not a tooth fairy! You’re basically just inviting an angry mob.

For Nate’s Dad, handing out candy on Halloween is like letting Nate have a dog.

Marty just cannot comprehend the concept of handing out goodies on Halloween. He just refuses the grasp the perspective of the general demographic that will be looking their two eyes at his “goodies”. This is hopeless…

At this point, he’d do better turning the lights out and not handing out anything!

Umm, Marty, you will never get the point of Halloween at this rate. XD

For me, it would depend on the nickel. A 1937-D three-legged buffalo nickel in MS-60 or higher would be gratefully accepted.

Did Nate’s dad ever actually GO Trick-or-Treating?

Nate needs to take matters into his own hands.

Silly theory of mine just made for fun, but hey, who knows….

Nate’s dad just doesn’t want to hand out candy because of his candy eating disorder, whereas whenever he buys or gets his hand on some candy, he gobbles it all up without resistance, so he tries his best to avoid candies altogether by handing out other cheap “treats” for halloween.

Some proof for this: Nate’s dad has been caught eating Nate’s candy many times even to the point Nate installs alarms to catch him red handed…

Give at least a Dime, Marty, At my local party store, you can get 1 piece of candy (Often a gumball) for 7 cents

Why can’t he just simply give out candy?

If all the kids who get a nickle from Marty put there nickles together to buy a $3 carton of eggs (to egg his house), how many kids trick or treated Marty’s house?(Its simple math fella’s)

Back in the 50’s & early 60’s we were happy to get pennies and the occasional nickle. By the end of the night, you might wind up with 30 or 40 cents. That was 4 comic books or 8 full-sized candy bars.

Nate, can you please make your dad hand out NORMAL snacks?

It was so weird to not see Halloween stuff when I first moved to Australia. Honestly, some of the locals pissed me off so much that I made up a copy/paste to inform them that America did NOT invent Halloween, and of the real history. Sheesh.

Now? They have Halloween candy out in July. Yep. Right on time.

And once again, the comments have become quiet.

He has a couple of choices here: pass out candy or turn off the porch lights and don’t participate at all. Simple choice and much easier than putting together dozens of (probably bad) sushi to hand out.
