Okay, if “God” is responsible for EVERYTHING! Let’s indeed stop pointing out all the trouble Bush/Cheney caused that we’re still trying to work our way out of, and blame the REAL INSTIGATOR! God was “obviously” here first and the sole responsible party!!
Bush’s mismanagement and lack of focus on the situation in Afghanistan is implied in the ‘toon. Otherwise, Obama wouldn’t have inherited the problem. And when did Obama or anyone in this administration say they were happy with any part of what’s going on in Afghanistan?
there you go again!
Bush made the decision to go to war in 2001 and Bush left the management of the war up to the Pentagon.
It is Obama’s administration that tries to manage the military and set date of exit and generally ruin any possibility of Victory.
Next, will we see Obama military uniform colors in Lavender?
Anyone remember “the army you have”? Then tell them to do the opposite, despite the one general who knew what he was doing’s advice? Oh, right, and order them to hit the wrong target to begin with.
As to “lavender”, remember it was the Bush colors that run.

You’re kidding, right? Left it up the Pentagaon? Remember the Army chief of staff who was removed from his post for saying they needed more troops? Remember Rummyhead overruling every military voice in the inner circle and insisting all they needed was a small, surgical strike and it WOULD ALL BE OVER!! Mission accomplished. Cause Rumsfeld knows best. Sheesh.
@Howie, yep, many Dems supported the war. But then when it became clear there were no WMDs, roving biological weapon labs, etc., when it became clear Chalabi was full of cr@p about almost everything he told the US, they wanted to bring troops home after Iraq was stabilized. Opposing the war, at that point, and opposing how the war was conducted, was a principled, not political stance.
@Howie, yep we’re still there with the Dems in charge and not much has changed in the area of national security, secrecy, confinement without charges, etc.. In this area, Obama has continued Bush policies, indeed.
Sounds like a line from a Grade B Western - “First we’ll give them a fair trial, then we’ll hang them.”
The problem with justice by fair trial, military or civilian, is the Bush interrogation practices. Water-boarding Khalid Sheik M. 185 times sounds more like severe torture and retribution than interrogation. Torture is not compatible with fair trials.

And “W” was smoking what when he ordered the troops into Afghanistan AND Iraq?? Oh, right, it was just Cheney and Rumsfeld’s fog for war.

DTP - Bush was the COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF of the Pentagon. He was ultimately responsible.
Your bigotry against gays is flashing from your lavender eyes.
I still don’t get the Happy Face. Obama is definitely not happy with the situation in Afghanistan.
