    Good morning Vagabonds

And welcome to the last day of summer, tonight at 9:54 EDT the sun passes over the equator, or the equator passes under the sun, depending your point of view.

On the weather front, it was windy and the lights went out early this morning. We got them back at just about six. 61 for a high today, and freeze warnings for the overnight for Essex County, VT, east of us and counties in NH.

Going for groceries in a while and all the normal Saturday activities, if you want to call them that. :-)

    Y’all have a wonerful day.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Mark, make that 8:54 Central time here in Kansas. Yesterday was the first of what truly seemed like fall weather for us, though.

We drove about 265 miles across the Kansas prairie yesterday. Beautiful, if a bit monotonous. And the wind was blowing all day, from the north (our right side) so it was nerve wracking and physically tiring to keep the RV in proper lane position. The only time I had relief was when I passed a big rig and he provided a wind break.

Most truckers are really great people. They are grateful when passing you and you let them know it is okay to pull in front of you, and they are gracious when you pass them and provide the same service most of the time. I did figure out how to thank them when they signal for me. Turn on the hazard lights for 2 or 3 seconds. That flashes the brake lights without actually braking.

We are in a campground in WaKeeney, KS. It is pretty new, most of the trees are still babies. I’m not sure I want to be here when they grow up because most of them are way too close to the RV to be able to put out the awning. They have a daily ice cream social which we attended yesterday afternoon. We met some nice folks and had a good time. Just down the access road there is what used to be a red brick church which is now an antique store. I’m thinking of walking over there today to see what’s what.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good Sunny morning, Vagabonds,

It may be the start of Autumn tonight at the equator, but the shortest day up here will be Tuesday, 9/25. The sunrise is at 7:18 a.m. and sets at 7:19 p.m. And, we’re expecting it to be 75 today. WooHoo!

We watched a really tacky movie last night. Rosy Clooney starred in something called “Red Garters” from 1954. Even a bunch of big names couldn’t save this film. Buddy Epsen had a small part. Maybe if he had a larger part ………nah………nothing would help.

Time to make breakfast. xoxo Happy Trails.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Yesterday started with thunder and lightning and we spent the day waiting for the rain. This morning no thunder, no lightning but a nice gentle rain was falling. Love this time of year. It is 60 out right now with a predicted high of 71.

Tonight, if my husband is up for it, we plan on attending a Southern Gospel Sing. My church sponsors four of these concerts every year and we really enjoy attending.

    Everyone have a wonderful day.

Good afternoon Vagabonds.Temp about 70 right now with partly cloudy skies.

Slow start this morning, just did a couple of errands and then did a wash.

Just taking it easy right now, waiting for my daughter to show up at 3:30 so we can go to church at 4:00.

Don’t know what I will do after that.

May take the A/C out of the bedroom window as I don’t think we will be using it again this year.

Everyone have a good day today.
