    That was my Dad’s drink of choice. can’t tell you how many “sips” I had as a kid. Everytime he ordered one in a restaurant I would get a sip. Now days he would have been arrested.

    Do I like whiskey now? Nope, yuk!

    Both of my parents swapped between Whiskey Sours & Tom Collins… I remember tasting them as a kid & thinking I am going to love being an adult… we recently went on a cruise & I ordered a Whiskey Sour for the first time ever, thinking back to 50 years before when I was a kid & thought it was the most vile thing I ever drank. Needless to say, I went back to my Malbec.

    What I’ve read indicates most mixed drinks we are familiar with were conceived during Prohibition because obviously the bathtub liquor tasted so bad.
