Maybe the fact that Communism and Democratic Socialism are not the same things? Maybe the fact that Summers is ostensibly too smart to not know the difference, which means that Summers is engaging in deliberate fake news?
Dana Summers doesn’t know what “socialism” means. Most of the programs he, and today’s Republican establshment denounce as socialism were endorsed by Republicans and conservatives in the past. Richard Nixon supported national health care, Teddy Roosevalt industrial regulation, Otto von Bismarck retirement income. Socialists all by today’s R-hetoric!
“Teacher”, what parts of “socialism” don’t you get? Here are a couple:
1) Denmark, Sweden, Norway (from which Trump thinks he wants more immigrants), United Kingdom, and several other countries. Even the US, though the current Republican establishment is trying to make us anti-social.
2) None of the examples on your white board are examples of true socialist governments… or socialist “economies”, for that matter.
