    I really wish we had a Democrat in the White House. Hilary in 2012!

    C. A. Brobst, I want a Dem in the White House too, but I can’t see Hillary running. She’s been an author, First Lady, U.S. Senator, and now she’s Secretary of State. She’s in her 60s. I can see her becoming a human rights ambassador or something like that when a Republican wins the White House in 2012.

    I’ve been to DC 3 times and I feel quite comfortable at laughing my @$$ off at the notion that a power company would blame snow causing limbs to fall during snowstorms in DC.

    @lorax

    Lucky you weren’t here for this past winters double dip blizzard. It’s not typical but, those storms left an ice dam on my roof for about 3 weeks.

    @pirate:I’m really surprised to hear that. We drove there once, it was early April during a freezing cold snowstorm and by the time we got to Virginia (9 hour drive) the trees were in full bloom and it felt like June. Perfect long weekend!

    Sooky Rottweiler says; I don’t waht to seem insensitive, but we four-pawed mammals have this thing we call “fur”. It keeps you warm, it’s always the right size, it’s easy to clean (unless you run into burdock) and it never goes out of style.

    You humans woould save hundreds on heating if you grew that!

    ^ My cat keeps my lap warm a few hours a day!

    I have a small house, with double glass, heat mirror windows and extra insulation. I have one of those space heaters shaped like a radiator in the middle of the bathroom, and it keeps the bath and bedroom cozy on medium heat. I hate heat pumps, they blow cold air.
