For Trump Disciple Varvel, the national debt disappeared when Trump took office. No longer exists.

No Trump Disciple is allowed to mention the deficit either.

    .

Now, Republicans will threaten to shut the government down because of The Wall. The deficit has disappeared.

BTW, Varvel, you also conveniently forgot the massive corruption and money laundering.

Because, you know, Law and Order.

Hope the guy with the fantastic headlines is part of the 1%, because that’s the only way he’s gonna see any profit from all this. Trump and Co. want to back-alley put through a reduction in capital gains taxes. Yeah, that’s gonna do wonders for the salaries of the working people whose "benefits from the so-called tax reform are getting eaten up in inflation. BTW, that 4.2 blip is most likely exactly that, a blip due to the threat of tariff wars and those trying to get their suff before the tariffs kick in. And layoffs are now accelerating…great economic news indeed.

Russian collusion to steal an election versus a one time 4.1% GDP which won’t last (unlike when Obama hit over 4%) Cohen tapes showing the real Trump versus an economy that is barely hanging on between bad taxes and trade warsManafort is going on trial versus the jobs gain slowing after a year and a half of Trump not being disciplined on jobs. Trump payed off porn stars before he was elected for his extra-marital affairs versus record-low unemployment, which is really piling on this silly list, economy, 4.1% GDP, jobs and record-low unemployment are all the same thing. Unemployment isn’t even at a record low.At the border Trump is forcing children apart from their families and caging them to be abused versus tax cuts for the rich which haven’t helped anyone else.Don’t forget about deregulation which makes it easier for business to scam you, pollute and take your money.

Is it great yet? Now with made up lists like this.

Trump is not above the law even if he has continued Obama’s economy.

Republican Varvel left something out. A return to $Trillion dollar annual deficits due to the tax cuts. Even a Trump can create the illusion of a strong economy if they are willing to max out the nation’s credit card.

How is 4.1% unemployment a record of any sort? The Washington Post lists these statistics that say otherwise.“It (unemployment rate) was as low as 4.2 percent under George W. Bush, 3.9 percent under Bill Clinton, 4.2 percent under Richard Nixon, 3.4 percent under Lyndon B. Johnson, 2.5 percent under Dwight D. Eisenhower and 2.7 percent under Harry Truman.”

And deregulation is nothing to brag about. A professor at Georgetown University Graduate School of Government told his class that, “Every regulation that exists does so to address an evil in the system and when that deregulation is removed the evil comes back.” That has been proven true repeatedly. Corporations were allowed to run wild in the 1920s that ended in the Great Depression. Ronald Reagan engineered deregulation of the savings-and-loan industry and the scandal cost taxpayers $500 billion to clean up. Deregulation of Wall Street gave us the Great Recession under George W. Bush but the GOP continues to pray at the altar of deregulation that has always been a false god.

When a conservative GOPer sees many regulations he, she or it screams “overregulation.” When a normal person sees the same regulations what is apparent are too many evils in the system.

All this to benefit the 1% of the 1% who own more than any humans in history. It defeats our form of govt and without firing a shot to do so. And I can see those Plutocrats leaving the rule over us to the tender mercies of the Aryan Christian fanatics.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”-C.S. Lewis

Of course, all those things were true of Obama. 4.1 GDP, falling unemployment, rising stock market.

Obama took a BAD economy and made it GOOD.

Trump has taken a GOOD economy, and so far, it’s about the same.

When it crashes – from skyrocketing deficits, tariffs, and soaring food and construction prices – will you blame Trump?

Economic growth in the same current 4.1 quarter back in 2014, (who was president back then?) — was at 4.9%.

The 4.1% is the real fake news: When adjusting for the shipments that were made in an effort to avoid the tariffs the number is closer to 2.7% Can’t wait for how he explains this in October.

Geezer asks, “How can an “opinion” be “false”?”

Let’s all just think about that question for a moment. What sort of culture, what sort of educational system, what sort of critical thinking skills give rise to the perspective that opinions are the equal of truths, that guesses are the equivalent of facts, that beliefs are the same as knowledge. And then cry for your country.
