Moving day again. We’re off to Old Orchard Beach, Maine. With any luck at all we’ll be there in time to visit my brother this afternoon. Usually we’re pretty tired after driving, so we’ll see.
Yesterday was a parade day in Bennington, VT where the church is located. They closed the highway through town at 11, not too long after I passed through on the way to church. (a nice little Baptist church that treated me like an honored guest in their home.) So I had to follow detours in order to get back to camp. They had traffic cops at almost every intersection guiding folks on the way around the parade route. It took twice as long to get back to camp as it did to get to church.
It’s been so cool the past couple of nights that we’ve turned on the heater in the morning. It doesn’t take much to warm it up in here. It looks like the weather in OOB is much the same as here – mid 70’s in the daytime and high 50’s at night. What a welcome relief!
Good morning, Vagabonds. Jan just showed me how to get back into ByE so here I am! Does anyone know how IA can rid of the split screen on my laptop so I can see the whole thing?
A descent day in our future, 82 for a high with a dewpoint of a comfortable 58.
Hay Arye, welcome back to the fold, I trust you are well and fit as a fiddle.
Jan, on the road already? Did you see the Bennington Battle Monument, kind of sticks up there.
Had to make a quick trip to my credit union this morning, I discovered a few transactions on my online account report I didn’t make, now I have a new card. I don’t know, I could have run across a skimmer somewhere hard to tell. Watch your accounts closely.
Now that the excitement is over I wish you all a wonerful day.
Our entire state is under an Air Quality alert! All because of that horrific CA fire! And, I don’t think they’re expecting rain anytime soon. In the 12 years we’ve lived here, this is the longest and the heaviest smoke we’ve experienced. Usually it lasts only a few days, and then the winds come and blow it away. We’ve had icky stagnant air this year. Bummer.
Well, it’s going to be real cool all day, so I’m going to get caught up on my baking. Apple bran muffins to start. And maybe some chocolate something or other. Mmmmm Chocolate!

Good morning Vagabonds.
Going to be a nice day with temp in the mid 70’s and no rain.
Yesterday we did a lot of weeding in the garden and yard. We were lucky that it wasn’t too sunny and not too hot.
Had so much it filled up a barrel that I put out for the pickup.
We both were very tired when we got done.
Hope you have a good trip Jan and may all of you have a good day.
