Frighteningly commonplace nowadays. If the Police would start BILLING those morons for the expense of responding to stupid calls, they might slow down a bit. Calling the cops on “A Suspicious man” IN A FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORM who has THE BIG RED TRUCK WITH THE LIGHTS AND SIREN parked in the street is just plain STUPID!!
The best part about “Permit Patti” is that she was in a business that borders between legal at state level and illegal at federal. She was head of a company that created marijuana tinctures.
My favorite story is from about 15 years ago when I lived in Indianapolis. An upscale bedroom community was immediately north of Indianapolis in another county. Auto license plates indicated the county of registration and the bedroom community cops would pull over cars from Indianapolis if driven by “undesirables” who would “obviously” have no good reason to be in these neighborhoods. The system worked well until they pulled over one black driver who just happened to be an Indiana State Trooper. There was quite the dustup after that happened!
