This is the Republican version of ‘free enterprise’.

Profits go to corporations. Risks — and the attendant losses — go to taxpayers and rate payers.

    .

Because anything else is Socialism, you Commie Pinko!

Because our executives have taken all our profits in bonuses and obscenely high salaries.

In South Carolina, the failure of the completion of two nuclear power plants was passed on to consumers, resulting in the highest electric costs in the nation.

If he had started it, he would be paying. If a company started it, the taxpayer would be paying it. If Utilities starts a fire in the woods does anyone pay for it?

Jun 8, 2018 – CAL FIRE has determined the fire started in two locations and was caused by tree or parts of trees falling onto PG&E power lines. The Sulphur Fire, in Lake County, started the evening of Oct. 8 and burned a total of 2,207 acres, destroying 162 structures.

Improper maintenance of utility lines is a common cause of wildland fires, forest and rangelands. Railroad “hot boxes” also cause a lot,and these two industries are responsible for costs of fighting their fires.
