It’s the time of year that you can check your eyelids for light leaks.
Been there, done that. When my siblings and I were young, my mom worked 3 pm to 11 pm. My dad was in charge. I think he just wanted us out of his hair.
This time of year, it doesn’t get dark here until after 10. I’m in bed before dark.
I can think of some examples of what would actually be dark humor in this context, but they’re a bit too dark to share here, I believe.
My cousin and her wife live in northern Saskatchewan. This time of year sunset does not happen until 10:00 pm. And sunrise about 4:00 am.
