The same applies to the vast majority of those killed by guns every day, including the suicides – usually men – women prefer OD or less messy means, also less certain in the outcome. Our “culture” is breeding more “national traedies”, on a regular basis. Maybe it’s time for a national wake-up call??

Of course, studying the causes of suicide and how to prevent them, would show a venn diagram that proves gun ownership does not make a home safer. So the NRA lobbied for the Dickey Amendment that prohibits government funds used for these studies.

You don’t have to be crazy to own a gun. It happens some time after gun collecting becomes gun hoarding. Lead powder fumes from target practice helps.

Sadly sometimes it takes the well known people having the same problem to wake us up to it.

As it did when Rock Hudson died from AIDS. A dentist I was working for said “who cares if a bunch of fag drug addicts die?”
