If you’re going to remove a person’s right to franchisement upon conviction of a crime, then it’s only logical to restore that right upon completion of a person’s sentence. It is illogical to force a person to continue to pay for committing a crime after that person’s period of incarceration is complete.
Unfortunately, I’m one of those people that believe the purpose of incarceration is to correct the atavistic, anti-social behavior that got the person incarcerated in the first place.
