Those jars probably inspired a bumper sticker I once saw.

I read that a restaurant commemorated the Titanic by offering the same last meal passengers had for $1,000. Even if I was rich, no food tastes so good that I would pay that kind of money for it. Then there’s an eight year old who taught himself to drive from watching YouTube and drove to McDonald’s without having one traffic violation unless you count driving without a license and under the legal age of 16. I bet if the cops would’ve seen him, they would’ve pulled him over in a heartbeat and given him a subpoena.Take care and God bless.

Nolan Ryan was my favorite pitcher back in the day. I miss seeing pitchers who regularly pitched complete games.

I guess they were driven to try anything during that plague (one of many plagues in Europe over the centuries).

At least it gave the Brits something to do. They should try it again.

Dumb for not spellchecking the name & incredibly vain for changing his name.

Before the “germ theory” of infectious disease was discovered, people believed illness came from “bad air.” “Malaria” means “bad air.”

. . . Image, it has only been about 150 years, since “medical hand washing” was suggested to prevent infection thus saving lives. Sad. :’( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignaz_Semmelweis

I think it’s really 8 father/son combos: Wills, Schofield, McRae, Griffey, Francona and Bonds make six. The final name is Alomar, but, since he struck out two of his sons, that should count as two more combos, shouldn’t it???

Sure am glad my mother wasn’t like that Swedish mother! That’s the stupidest “tattoo” story I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard quite a few. But if my mother HAD been that stupid, she would at least have gotten the names right – of all 9 of us kids!
