A parent gets a 3 on his annual review, he wants his kids to have it better than he does, so he tells his kids a C is not good enough, get a B or an A.
I actually choose to go to summer school to get some classes out of the way. I left high school with 5 years of science because of the summer school. I took what was required plus biology, physics and chemistry.
I loved summer school. When we were in elementary school, summer school for advanced kids was also held. We were able to get a head start on the next school year. My brother, who was 1 year ahead of me in school, and I were usually in the same summer school classes (for different reasons!) Once you entered 6th grade, summer school was only for remedial work so I couldn’t go anymore. I also took classes in the summer during my college years.
